On the way
Departing from Saint-Didier, you will need a little courage going towards the beautiful perched villages of the Vaucluse Hills. As a reward, from these rocky peaks, you will be able to see - Le Beaucet, Venasque, La Roque-sur-Pernes - some magnificent panoramas of the Mont Ventoux and various agricultural landscapes: vineyards, Venasque Hill cherries, almonds...
In Saint-Didier, pass under the porch of the Town Hall and follow the indications. Very soon you will be able to see Venasque on its rocky peak. In Venasque you will pass near the Portal which marks the entrance to the old village. Visit the village, the narrow streets and have a look at the pretty provencal houses. Follow the direction to Le Beaucet, go up to the castle and enjoy visiting this small village which is like a provencal creche. La Roques-sur-Pernes is not far, overlooking the valley. Going downhill you can admire the magnificent scenery of the Vaucluse Hills with the Mont Ventoux in the background.
