Mont-Ventoux, Sentinel of Provence !

Mont Ventoux, sentinel of Provence, overlooks the Comtat
de Venaissin and the Pays de Sault.
It can be seen from every part of the South of France and
wherever it is viewed from it appears different.
It is without doubt a lighthouse for sailors at sea and a
landmark for pilots above.

From Avignon, it is like a blue giant and with each approaching
step, fills the horizon.
It can be admired from Bédoin, Pernes-les-Fountains
and Sault.
It is cherished by every onlooker, appearing and disappearing, imposing yet ever-varying.
From its summit to the foot of the mountain, broad indentations
lacerate its gigantic sides, revealing ancient rich forests.
The peak, when visible, boasts an immaculate whiteness.
