Located
in the Toulourenc valley, Savoillans is a village which remains unchanged
over the years. The Toulourenc river (Toulourenc meaning "All
or nothing"), gushes through the area. The delicious
bread baked as in former times in a wood stove and sold in the old
bakehouse.
The
sympathetically restored parish church, the beautiful wash-house,
supplied by the local springs from the steep slopes of Ventoux,
add to the charm of this village.
Not
far from the village you will discover the charming Saint Agricol
farm, built in the XVIth century. The farm marks the starting
point of the “botanical path” - meandering through the woods for
approximately 2,5 km. Admire the stunning natural environment
around you and discover nature at its best with the help of markers
and explanation boards... a must for nature lovers.
