This
village is regarded as a caving centre where several potholes are
open and accessible, namely the remarkable chasms of Cervi, the
l'Aven-Autran and the Trou-Souffleur, at the bottom of which the
river of Albion runs to the Fontaine de Vaucluse.
The
Romanesque listed church, Notre-Dame and Saint-Christophe, was built
at the beginning of and during the XIIth century by the Benedictines
of Saint-André from Villeneuve-les-Avignon- Lord d’Agoult
entrusted them with the development of this building before leaving
for his crusade with Urbain II. The sanctuary is decorated
with an exceptional richness, a rarity in Haute-Provence.
