MALAUCENE

Malaucene is located at the beginning of the road to the northern Ventoux which is bordered by the Groseau spring.  Due to the north-facing side of the Ventoux and the springs; Malaucène boasts a particularly pleasant climate in the summer.

Malaucène has retained part of its old ramparts and fortified gates which protected it.  The construction of the church, starting in the XIIIth century, complemented this system of defence.  The visitor can admire its splendid gilded wooden organ and beautifully carved pulpit.  From the top of the martyrdom, make the most of the fabulous panoramic view of the Ventoux and its surroundings.  In the centre of the village, discover a multitude of fountains and privately-owned mansions.
