Crillon-le-Brave,
formerly fortified, is a delightful village on a hill jutting out
opposite the Mont Ventoux. Vestiges of XVIth century ramparts, several
gates of which the Gérin gate and XIXth century Porte Neuve
are but two. Saint Romain parish church, Romanesque with Gothic
features, octagonal XIXth century bell-tower with small bell-tower
sheltering a Bernus altar-piece. Stone and sand quarries.
